Nice experience in the village with a local. A minority with a rich culture and the usual Egyptian hospitality. I can recommend

Very helpful guide Mr Moataz. He ecplained everything to us in details. Though we were tired he continued to cheer us during the journey. It was very hot but in the nile river it was cool in the boat.

Moataz is incredibly joyful and passionate about his nubian culture. You'll get to see incredible colours and taste organic and original food. The experience is worth the price.

My wife and I took the excursion to the Nubian Village with a private motorboat tour, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Aswan. This experience was not only fun but also incredibly enriching, we learned so much about Nubian history and culture in an engaging and authentic way. The motorboat ride along the Nile was amazing, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere that made the journey even more special. The Nubian Village itself was colorful, welcoming, and full of character. A big thank you to our tour guide, MO (Mohamed Mamdouh), who was fantastic! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful throughout the tour. His passion and insights really made the experience unforgettable. If you’re visiting Aswan, we highly recommend this tour. It’s the perfect mix of culture, relaxation, and scenic beauty.

Mo was very nice and took care of us. We definetly recommend the experience! We went at 4:00pm and the weather was perfect, and we saw the sunset on the way back to the hotel. So nice.

My brother and I visited the Nubian Village in June 2025. Our guide, Moataz, was a nice and informative Nubian guide who shared insights about the Nubian people and their culture and history. He was really responsive and picked us up from our cruise on time and with no issues. We took a beautiful boat ride in a felucca and listened to Bob Marley along the river. We visited a spice shop, a Nubian house, and an art shop, where everyone was very welcoming. The views of the Nile and the village were beautiful. We were also given time to swim, which was a great bonus. If I had one suggestion, it would be to include a few more stops beyond shops to give a fuller picture of the area. Still, it was a really enjoyable experience!

This experience was great overall with a beautiful Nile cruise to the Nubian village. Would have loved to get more history/background on the village and people itself. With it being summer and the ‘off’ season for tourism, that was the primary bummer as everything was empty and we just sat through sales pitches for our stops in the village. With it being just the 2 of us we felt pressure to buy at the stops we made. We certainly were happy to support the local people and know this is their income but the simple culture of bartering and sales pitch is just not comfortable for us personally. I do feel that during busy season it is more enjoyable and lively and less intense focused pressure on selling because the attention is more spread. Our host was excellent and by no means do I feel any part of our experience was negative due to him. He did great highlight parts of the culture. We had to ask more questions about the history. Truly just the timing was the down side. Lunch was well worth it and delicious. The restaurant we went to had very kind friendly staff. The spice shop we sat and listened about the differing spices he had to offer- he was incredibly kind- but we were not aware/prepared to know we would be stopping and then expected to purchase. Again just culture of tourism.

Our tour started with a beautiful Nile boat ride and brought us to the village. With it being summer, it was not busy, many shops were closed but did not feel hectic with crowds. We were offered henna, saw crocodiles in tanks -even held a small one, brought to buy spices, to buy jewelry and then had an excellent Nubian lunch. Communication with our guide was excellent and he was very helpful and kind as we have found all Egyptians are.
